Student jobs
The Institute for Communications Engineering offers students the opportunity to work on international relevant research. Clear communication, short decision paths and open-minded working in small teams are key factor of our work.
We concurrently have somewhere between 10 to 15 students working with us and supporting us in theimplementation of algorithms in the area of video and point cloud signal processing in MATLAB, Python and/or C/C++. Jobs are offered for example in the following areas:
- Implementation of algorithms for high efficient video coding (2D, 3D, 360, Scalable,...)
- Implementation of algorithms for next generation point cloud coding (graph-based inter prediction, neural network based compression
- Tools for digital teaching and learning and improved learning experiences for new students.

What we expect
Needed for successful collaboration are excellent programming knowledge and basic knowledge in the area of signal processing, electrical engineering, information technology and/or technical informatics.
